Tissue paper flowers

Are you having a party? Is your daughter's first communion? Or do you just want to spend the weekend learning new, simple ways to decorate? We have the solution! 3D tissue paper flowers! We'll show you how to make them in just 10 minutes! Quick, but above all, super easy!

Necessary material:

  1. Tissue paper: Ideally, you'll want to use about 10 sheets to give the flower a nice, thick finish. Since a sheet of tissue paper is quite large, half a sheet will give you a medium-sized flower!
  2. Scissors : To cut the sheets depending on the desired flower size.
  3. Ruler : To help us fold the sheets in step 3
  4. Thread : To tie the pleats in step 4

1) Cut:

Cut the 5 sheets of tissue paper in half and stack the resulting 10 on top of each other. If you prefer smaller flowers, cut the sheets into 4 halves!

2) Folds:

Using the ruler, fold the 10 sheets into even, crisp creases. If there's any excess left on the last fold, we can easily trim it!

3) Thread:

Tie a thin thread in the center. If you want to hang the flowers later, now's the time to add a ribbon or string, threading it through the thin thread, leaving the ends loose!

4) Trim edges:

In this step, we shape the flower petals! We opted for the rounded option, but you can also cut them into a triangular shape.

5) Open folds:

This step isn't complicated at all! It simply consists of opening the folds held together by the thread in the center.

6) Lift layers:

This is the decisive moment! We almost have the tissue paper flower ready! Lifting each layer, we create the flower shape. Be careful, especially when peeling the layers along the edges so they don't tear. If the layers wrinkle, don't be alarmed—they're just the opposite!

Final result!! This example is designed to be hung on a flat surface like a board at the entrance to the event, but if you prefer to hang them, it's much nicer to join two halves together to create a sphere!

We hope you enjoyed it and are encouraged to try it. You'll see how easy it is and how beautiful it looks! More tutorials coming next Thursday. Subscribe and you'll automatically receive Pepa Paper updates in your email so you don't miss any!
